From Toddler Tantrums to Tunde’s Drama
Chronicles of an indie mama balancing writing, book publishing, family, and big dreams.
Hey Camaraderie — It’s Been A Minute
It feels like years since I last dropped in your inbox, but honestly? Motherhood is the biggest slum. If I’m not chasing my toddling toddler up the stairs, I’m decoding her new “language” or trying to guess what she’s pointing at (amidst a thousand other things). As proof, here’s an audio I managed to capture recently while she was attempting yet another staircase run.
We took our first official walk, and someone was way too excited—pointing at everything and walk-running ahead of her poor caretakers who were struggling to keep up.

Yep, we’re still breastfeeding. Hopefully our breastfeeding journey will come to an soon. We’re deep in potty training too. She’s doing great—but me? I’m the one tired of running to the bathroom for false alarms. I can’t complain, though. The joke will be on her in a few months.
On top of that, I’m still wearing all the hats as an indie author + business owner. Writing doubles as therapy for me, and I love the rush of bringing characters from my head into your hands.
PS: I had to move this newsletter to Substack because the email marketing gods want to drain my pockets. So, yayyy, I’m still learning my way around this tool (God bless its creators), but for now you can expect more letters from me here.
What’s in this letter?

Big News: We’re Storming Toronto!
Okay, this one is close to my heart. Next year, myself and a group of author friends are storming Toronto, Canada—and this is my very first time organizing a major international event!
The truth? It’s been a journey. From scouting venues and vendors, to watching other events flop, to literally praying day and night that everything aligns—this is huge for me. And I’m so grateful for the support of my fellow authors and event organizers who’ve had my back through the planning process. (You’ll get to meet them officially when we reveal the lineup next month).
Here’s what you should know:
Follow us on Instagram: @lovebantsnsignatures
Author lineup drops in October (and yes, your favorite African & African-in-Diaspora authors are on board).
Tickets drop in November—limited spots because we want to maximize the vibe and the enjoyment.
And if there’s an author you’d love to see at the event, send them our Instagram page so they don’t miss out.
Yoruba Demons Billionaire Club Update
I know some of you are still processing Enesi & Femi, but listen — this series has 12 books, and I’m determined to drop them hot-hot. 🔥
So here’s the tea:
I’m currently writing the second draft of Book 2 — Yoruba Demon: Tunde.
Expect drama, secrets, and… a lil’ kink. (Let’s just say some fetishes snuck their way in.)
Cover reveal: October 15. (You, my dearest camaraderie, will get it earlier.
Target ebook release: Week of Thanksgiving (ignore the preorder dates that say summer 2026—motherhood means mummy plans, toddler decides).
And you know how it goes: if you’re in Africa and don’t have access to Amazon, you can preorder now at a discounted rate via bit.ly/camaaselar. Once the book releases, it’ll only be up for a week before going into Kindle Unlimited—so it’s best to lock your copy now.
Keeping Up With Adeola—Final Books
