The past weeks have been a rollercoaster.
I’m supposed to be sending this message from Canada, but here I am, learning patience with life and with my toddler, who happily makes a mess and then looks at me like, ‘Good job.’
But there is some good news: someone saw me this past week and asked if I was an intern!
So apparently, despite everything, I’m still giving young and employable in this economy. I’ll take it!

Life Updates: Learning patience and questioning my life
I swear, if you want to learn patience, have—or live with—a toddler who is actively trying to destroy everything in sight and seemingly auditioning for the role of Most Determined Person to Give Their Mother a Heart Attack.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve screamed “NO!” into the void or had to physically stop myself from losing my mind. One of my monitors has already been sacrificed because this tiny human apparently believes they are Spider-Man and can climb absolutely EVERYTHING.
And have I mentioned the attempts to slip their hand out of mine at the most dangerous possible moment? Because holding Mommy’s hand is optional when they can hop and skip by themselves and investigate exciting things on their own.
Please keep me in your prayers.

Writing Updates: Yoruba Demon: Kemi / Irreplaceable
I’ve got about ten chapters left to wrap up Kemi and Boma’s story. Yep, Kemi’s love interest is a Bayelsa guy who speaks Pidgin even in his thoughts. I won’t lie, this man has made me question my Pidgin skills. But we move!
Yoruba Demon: Kemi will be out December 10, and I can’t wait to add this emotional story to the rest of the series.
And because Kemi has me experimenting with all sorts of things, I’ve also been testing my chia pudding skills. All I’m going to say is… I’ve discovered a tasty recipe.
I’m also back in the draft of Irreplaceable, which is now set for release on February 8, 2027. It’ll be the final book in the Catching Feelings series and my last big goodbye to the Lagos Lovin’ characters.
Of course, you haven’t seen the last of them completely. You’ll still spot them popping up as side characters in other books, because apparently I’m not capable of letting my characters leave quietly.

On Obinna’s release day, I’ll be signing copies at the first romance-only bookstore in New York! (psst, you’re the first to know)
