And just like that, October 2026 comes to an end! And since May, I’ve been driving. Whew! We’ll get to that story shortly.
October feels like a new year for me. This is the month I finalize my plans for the coming year, decide which books must be published, which ones can make an appearance along the way, and figure out how everything fits together.
In summary? Plan, plan, PLAN!
It’s time to get intentional about the stories I want to tell, the deadlines I want to meet, and the goals I want to achieve in the coming year. But first, let’s wrap up 2026 with a bang!

Life Updates: The Passenger Princess
As I type this, I’m knee-deep in the final book of the Catching Feelings series, Irreplaceable, and it’s almost heartbreaking to think about saying goodbye. Mid-year, I had to take a step back to focus on the YDBC books because I didn’t want to let us down. And honestly? I’m so proud of how far we’ve come.
But that’s not what this section is about.
This is to let you know, in case you didn’t already, that I was a staunch, hard-core passenger princess before May 2026. Like, driving? In THIS economy? Absolutely not. My driver’s license had spent over eight years functioning primarily as an ID card.
But bookish events had other plans for me, and suddenly, I had to take the wheel.
Some days, I’m behind the steering wheel thinking, Baby, how do people just drive?!
I listen to audiobooks, sure, but I’d much rather be writing or editing TikTok videos. You can’t even properly appreciate the scenery or go sightseeing because you’re too busy concentrating on not hitting another car. And vice versa! All this has made me appreciate The Dream even more.
This man drove me for a 26-hour round trip over three days and didn’t complain once. Not once! (It was a bookish event.)
I know my passenger princess days aren’t over (at least, I hope not), but I just wanted you to know that, in a way, you guys are the reason I finally got on the road. After over eight years of using my driver’s license as an ID card, your love for my books and your support at these events gave me the push I needed to get behind the wheel again.
So, thank you for getting me out of my comfort zone, literally.
Should I tell you about the time I thought the police were pulling me over and probably had a mini heart attack? Or my first solo night drive that lasted over an hour? Or that time we left the house at 2 a.m. and I took over the wheel from 4 a.m. until past 7?
Mehn. It’s been a brutally interesting journey.
But the police story? Hmm. I think I’ll save that one for another day.
Over to the books!
Yoruba Demon: Kemi is Ready for You!
Yoruba Demon: Kemi has officially taken the crown from Obinna as my longest book yet!
There were simply too many layers to Kemi and Boma’s story, and I had to give them the space they deserved. I can’t wait for you to meet these two, and I truly believe their story will be the perfect companion for the holiday season.
The book is currently set to go to print and will be available in bookstores on December 10, 2026! You can also preorder your copy now from your favorite vendor.
And if you missed your chance to grab a YDBC Member Card during Obinna’s release, you’ll have another opportunity this time around! So, if you’re building your collection, don’t miss out.
But first, for a little refresher, here’s Kemi’s blurb!
Not all demons come to take, some come to stay.
Kemi, a celebrated beauty doctor and industry disruptor, has mastered the art of perfection—until a collision with a dangerously caring mechanic forces her to confront the scars she’s hidden, the love she doesn’t believe she deserves, and the family she never had.
Expect found family, a neurodivergent MC (my first), drama and sex education (Kemi’s style!)
Are you Sleeping on the Catching Feelings Series?

I think you all are sleeping on the Catching Feelings series, and I need us to talk about it!
First, a big thank-you to everyone who has read the first two books and taken the time to leave a review. You have no idea how much I appreciate you!
I’m currently working on Irreplaceable, the final book in the series, and Ese and Duks are already putting me in my feelings. These two are not making this goodbye easy, and February 8, 2027, cannot come fast enough!
But listen, if you haven’t started the series yet, what are you waiting for? Go grab the first two books and catch up before Ese and Duks take over your heart, too.
Remember WTLCTD?
Back in May, you found out that WTLCTD stands for Where The Light Comes to Die.
Now, it’s time to reveal the title of the first book in this trilogy, and trust me, this is unlike anything I’ve written before. We’re stepping into TABOO ROMANCE territory!
The books/parts in this trilogy are titled When You Left (WYL), When You Returned (WYR), When I Let You Go (WILYG).
And guess what? The cover reveal was supposed to happen this November but it has been pushed to March 2027. It will officially be a 4-cover reveal! So, consider this your official heads-up to start anticipating.
Want to catch up on what I’ve shared so far? You can read more here:
Introducing WYL
This is a trilogy I’ve been working on for the longest time. It’s not your typical romance—it starts light, turns dark, and then finds its way back to the light. It doesn’t quite fall into dark romance, so I’ve come to think of it as a grey romance. I won’t be giving trigger warnings, but the description below should give you an idea of whether you want…
New Releases from Author Friends
If you enjoyed Yoruba Demon: Obinna, you NEED to check out his twin brother’s story!
God, Benedict and Me
God, Benedict and Me follows Benedict, a twin whose world revolves around physics and science, as he discovers supernatural powers beyond anything he could have imagined. What follows is a gripping collision of science, faith, angels, demons, and battles in the spiritual realm. Meanwhile, Amanda’s journey pushes her beyond rebellion against her family and into a sacrifice that could cost her everything. This story is a compelling reminder of just how distinct and diverse the Okwuluoka twins are, each inhabiting a world uniquely their own.
